Music Fest 2025 – Jazz Ensemble Secondary C Grade
From a by-chance discussion with my friend, Nick Mulder, searching for a simple bossa for his students to play, the gentle breeze of Zephyr was born. Months later, Rosie, the young pianist in Nick’s band said it was her favourite piece! Sometimes, though rarely, pieces like this just pop out and make everyone happy. Zephyr is easy to listen to, nice to play. And just a little bit groovy. Zephyr is dedicated to Nick Mulder, music educator, big band composer and elite trombonist, but more importantly a good friend.
