Description
Neridah Oostenbroek
Picture a hot and tiring trek through the mountains in the opening of this piece. Carefully crafted to give all parts some interest, the quavers should be played on the string with contrasting staccato crotchets. The G major middle section portrays the rewards of the journey with a glorious view of the valleys below. The cellos are featured at the beginning of this section with a legato melodic line. The opening melody repeats for the downward trek before an energetic ending.
