Greenhoe is back!

First batch of horns are in Australia at BMS!

In 2012, the closure of the Greenhoe company saw the production of Greenhoe trombones cease, and threw into doubt the future of the venerable Greenhoe valve. The valve has a cult following amongst professional and amateur trombone players, providing a low resistance, fully vented alternative to other valves on the market.

A year ago, we heard the good news. Schilke Musical Products, the handcrafted trumpet maker (and more recently, handcrafted trombone maker with the ST-30 and ST-21), had bought the rights to make Greenhoe valves alongside some of the original artisans of the Greenhoe company.

We caught up with Andrew Naumann and Michael Zielinski at NAMM 2017 in Anaheim, CA to get the scoop on the new project.
