The Besson BE981 EEb Tuba is an exceptional professional instrument. Constructed with a larger bore mouthpipe, the tuba produces a wider symphonic tone. Considered a "concert" model, the BE981 tuba is designed for playing in the seated position. A lower position mouthpipe offers comfort to the symphonic player whether they be playing in a concert band or symphony orchestra.

The Besson BE982 EEb Tuba is created with a high position mouthpipe for the marching band and is fitted with carriage rings and a lyre holder for comfort and convenience. Its slightly narrower mouthpipe gives the BE982 a brighter,clear tone.

Besson 983 Eb Sovereign Tuba

The Besson Sovereign BE983 Tuba is the EEb counterpart to the Besson Sovereign BE993 BBb Tuba. Like the BE993, the BE983 has front action valves for improved comfort. Bottom sprung valves and a spring damper set work together to create more efficient and quiet valve action. The BE983 is fully compensating, improving the intonation of not only the low register, but the full range of the instrument. Available in lacquer or silver plate, the BE983 not only sounds incredible, it looks beautiful too.
