‘The best gig in town – wonderful employment opportunities for instrumentalists…’

The Australian Defence Force is one of the largest employers of professional musicians in Australia, with performance positions in every capital city in Australia.

Musicians in the Australian Army Band Corps gain immense satisfaction performing a range of styles. Apart from the symphonic concert band and marching band, other ensembles may include; woodwind & brass quintets, jazz combos or a fanfare team, vocal ensemble, folk group, big band and contemporary cover band. Last weekend, the Australian Army Band Brisbane performed with Guy Sebastian raising money for Legacy which was a great success and we had a lot of fun.

To assist you again for career opportunities as a professional musician within the Australian Army, the Australian Army Band Brisbane is conducting an Open Day on Saturday 25th October, 2008. The Band will present a short performance and then invite you to again join with us for a rehearsal. You will be required to register for the Open Day so we can cater for lunch.
