This is an excellent opportunity for teachers and students to come along to this free event being hosted jointly by Yamaha Australia, The Queensland Conservatorium and Brass Music Specialists.

The Conservatorium’s Trumpet and Trombone Ensembles will be performing at 1pm for about 50 minutes and this will be followed with a recital/presentation by Russell Gray, showcasing the newly released Neo Cornet.

These instruments were shown for the very first time earlier this year in Germany by Yamaha Europe, and again in Perth during the recent Easter weekend at the Australian National Band Championships. Next Wednesday’s presentation is only the third ever.

These instruments are pre-production prototypes with general production and availability from June/July this year.
