The McGregor Summer School has established itself as one of the premier residential, performing, visual and creative arts learning experiences in Australia. Over 500 participants converged on the USQ campus in Toowoomba for this popular residential arts retreat in January 2008.

McGregor Summer School Music Students should be prepared for an exciting and busy ten days full of excellent music making.

In 2008 we are fortunate to have the QLD Youth Band Camp being held in conjunction with the McGregor Summer School. Richard Evans from the United Kingdom will be in attendance as Musical Director. Richard has worked extensively with the National Youth Band of Great Britain and is one of the pre-eminent band trainers and conductors in the UK.

Floyd Cooley (Former Principal Tuba, San Francisco Symphony) will be giving two masterclasses in Brisbane.

Monday November 17, 2-4pm, focusing on Tertiary students. Venue: Griffith University, Queensland Conservatorium, Southbank.

Tuesday November 18th, 4-6pm, focusing on School students.
Venue: TQO Studios, Ferry Road, West End.
